Breda McQuaid

I am an Irish National living in Belgium for 22 years. I am married with 4 Children. I speak Dutch relatively fluently.

My background is based in Nursing, I trained in London and worked as a Senior Nurse /Emergency Nurse Practitioner in Accident and Emergency.

After our children began school, I decided to look how I could continue with my passion in life which is caring for people.  I first acquired my Diploma in Foot Reflexology, then very soon after qualified as a Bowen Therapist www.bowenbelgium.be. I regularly over the last 12 years have updated my learning by attending many courses with extensive training in Bowen by many teachers from around the world.  My intention to help my clients as best I can is always at the forefront of my thoughts. I have studied Anatomy in Motion www.findingcenter.co.uk, Donna Eden Energy Medicine www.innersource.net, Body Mind Work www.bodymindworkers.com and more recently have begun studying an exciting scar release technique which I will be offering as both a treatment and to study in the next coming months.

I work as the head medical officer at the local football club, offering support and recovery from injury with all my expertise above, also focusing on injury prevention and supporting all our students in their studies and emotions when required. I also work voluntarily in schools offering support where necessary using The Hudson Mind Process.   This is a sponsorship I offer inspired by something which hung on the wall of Thomas Ambrose Bowen (1916-1982) practice room.

“I expect to pass through this world but once: Any good thing therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any fellow-creature let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.”

I am passionate about helping others and it is with this highest intention I continue to grow, make mistakes, take them as a learning, seek every opportunity to live life to the full realising I only pass this way once!
